Great Low Fats Bland Diets

Do not let the name fool you, great low fats bland diets do not have to be bland. When undertaking a bland diet, you simply need to learn how to eat properly and what to eat to have the least amount of response from your digestive system in a negative way. Bland diets are usually undertaken by those who have certain intestinal problems. According to one association though, the only things known to irritate the gastric system is alcohol, black pepper, caffeine, chili powder, cocoa, coffee, certain drugs and tea.
However, other bland diet plans also say you should avoid the following:
-
Coarse grains
-
Nuts (which also includes nut products such as peanut butter)
-
Desserts such as doughnuts (because they are fried)
-
Raw fruits and vegetables
-
Foods that have heavy seasoning

To know which foods you should and should not eat, to maximize your eating plan and be in optimum health, you should always check with your doctor. Only through blood and other types of test can you really know how certain foods are affecting your body.

The most important thing to keep in mind is that you can still eat from all food groups, which is good for a balanced nutrition plan, but there are certain foods from each group that you are going to eat more or less of. There are certain foods that will be totally removed from your diet, but hopefully there is a healthy substitute so you can still eat the things you love (well something close to it anyways).
